Kenya Highlands

This coffee from Kenya is grown in the Central Highlands region of Kenya which stretches from the southern slopes of Mount Kenya and foothills of the Aberdare Mountain Range to the northern outskirts of the capital, Nairobi.

The coffee is grown by smallholder producers who supply their harvested coffee to multiple Farmer Cooperative Societies. These cooperative societies handle the processing and sales of the coffee on behalf of the farmers ensuring high quality standards and that a high portion of the sales price is returned to the farmers. These cooperative societies give farmers access to international markets which they would not otherwise have and thereby receiving better prices for their coffee. By working collectively, the farmers benefit from the cooperatives expertise in processing, technical support, seedling nurseries and other services.
